Spain is one of the main destinations for global tourism. So much so that 71.6 million tourists visited the country in 2022. A very important part of the arrivals took place through international airports. And it is among the 10 nations in the world that have a greater number of this type of airfields. This is the complete ranking, according to World Index<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Indonesia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Asian country is the tenth in the world with the highest number of international airports, as it is a highly visited destination, with places such as Bali or Borneo. It has 20. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Italy attracts millions of tourists every year, in search of the history of Rome, the beauty of Venice or the magnetism of Naples. It has a total of 28 international airports. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Brazil<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. France<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spain is the sixth country in the world with the most international airports, surpassing France and Italy in this ranking. Barcelona, Madrid, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands are some of the destinations most chosen by tourists. There are 33 of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. India<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

India is a much larger and more populated country than Spain, so it is normal that it is placed above, although the difference is minimal. There are 36 international airports. Although there are numerous attractions, the Taj Mahal in Agra takes the cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Mexico<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the edge of the podium is Mexico, although it is a long way behind the three countries ahead of it. There are 38 airports. Mexico City and the Riviera Maya are some of the most visited places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Russia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although international tourism has been considerably reduced with the war in Ukraine, the truth is that Russia has a comfortable position in terms of international airports. There are 65 of them, with Moscow and St. Petersburg as major attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. China<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Asian giant has to settle for second place thanks to its 88 international airports. The two main destinations are Beijing and Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
