AirRail, PRTR and commitment to sustainability: A vision supported by the European Union and the Spanish Government
Air Rail, in its constant search for innovation and sustainability, has been awarded a grant under the Sustainable and Digital Transport Support Program, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR). This distinction, awarded in competitive concurrence, is part of Measure 11, focused on the deployment of alternative fuels in Ports and Airports.
The award-winning project, "Acquisition of electric-powered vehicles for aircraft ground handling," reflects Air Rail's commitment to leading the transition to cleaner and more sustainable transportation at airports, in line with PRTR guidelines and objectives.
This recognition and funding comes from NextGenerationEU, a European Commission initiative to build a greener, more digital and resilient Europe. With a budget of more than 800 billion euros, NextGenerationEU represents a unique opportunity to emerge stronger from the pandemic and transform our economy. It is also supported by the Government of Spain and is part of the PRTR communication actions, which are mandatory at European and national level.
Beyond the economic relevance of the grant, this recognition aligns Air Rail with EU and PRTR policy priorities, which seek to build a greener, more digital and resilient Europe. These priorities include digitalization, the Green Pact to become the first climate-neutral continent, and creating a more attractive investment environment with quality jobs. You can learn more about these priorities on the official website at this link.
With this boost, Air Rail reiterates its commitment to innovation, sustainability and the well-being of all its users and the planet, marking a milestone in its journey towards a more sustainable future. We invite our investors, suppliers and customers to join us on this exciting journey towards a greener and more resilient future.
