The airplane is one of the most used transports in our country and it is especially necessary for those people who live or want to travel to the islands. The Balearic and Canary Islands are destinations that have some of the busiest airports in Spain thanks, to a large extent, to the huge number of tourists who arrive each year to both areas, attracted by the good weather, culture and beaches .
In this sense, Son Sant Joan, Mallorca's airport, stands out because, in addition to having a wide variety of airlines and destinations to many European countries, it is the one with the highest traffic of private jets. Many people choose Mallorca and the Balearic Islands, in general, for luxury tourism and it is not surprising, therefore, that every day, private jets come and go from all over the world.

Mallorca has become the preferred destination for European luxury tourism and last year registered a record movement of national and international private jets and air cabs , according to the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA). This data is also confirmed by a Greenpeace study, which reveals that 7,932 private jets took off from the Mallorcan airport, while 6,606 took off from Ibiza and 6,237 from Madrid-Barajas. The same study stated that the number of private jet flights in Europe increased by 64% in 2022.
